We invite and encourage parents and students from the senior, junior and sophomore classes to attend this year’s Minnesota Independent School Partnership College Fair. This event is a valuable opportunity for students in all three classes to connect with college representatives.
SENIORS – Whether you have a “short list” of colleges in mind or are still searching for some additional options, the MISP Fair is a great opportunity to make a personal connection with colleges that interest you. You may ask questions, obtain or request brochures and applications, or have a conversation with the representative to let them know if you have a strong interest in the college.
Remember to check out the 10/9 & 10/10 MN National College Fair, all colleges in MN are there, including some top schools, like all Big 10 Universities in the Midwest (University of Iowa, Penn State University, Purdue University), and private schools like: Vanderbilt University (ranked #17 at National Universities list). Welcome to Inari blog, this is a blog to empower young people and their families with information and tips to pursue their interests, and to link them with the communities as engaged citizens. Before I start, let me talk a little bit about Inari, and myself as her messenger – the RedFoxx.
Inari is the Japanese Goddess of Rice and Prosperity. Inari is one of the most mysterious deities of Japan, because she can be in both male and female forms. Folklores tell when there is a full moon, she/he will descend from a mountain to the rice fields, with a fox (kitsune) leading the way, to bless the harvest. She usually holds one or more of the following in Her hands: sheaf of rice, sword, or a jewel. When it’s Spring, disguising as a female, She appears like a beautiful young woman with long beautiful hair, serving as the maiden of the Spring to assist planting of the rice; Summer sees Her as the mother nurturing Her growing grain, and with the harvest in the fall, She becomes the Old Lady.
I hope this blog can be like Inari – as the Goddess of Nourishment, to support our youth’s future success. And as a messenger Red Foxx myself, I will do my best with Inari’s bless to lead the way for our youth to prosperity.
