Some of the most valuable assets we have in the fight against sex trafficking are the energy and compassion of our youth. This year the Demand Change Project will honor the dedication and commitment of local youth; by inviting your full participation in the conference, including a day of special programming for young abolitionists ages 14-23.

For the Youth Engagement Forum, Breaking Free will partner with Gustavus Adolphus College’s social justice theater troupe, I Am We Are, to creatively engage youth in learning about the signs of sex trafficking and how you can intervene safely and effectively. Join us!

Youth Engagement Forum Agenda:

8:30 am: Registration

9:00 am-Noon: Workshops

Noon-12:30 pm: Box Lunches

3:00-5:00 pm: Rally and Walk for Freedom in Downtown Minneapolis (optional)

7:00 pm: Victory Concert Featuring Ashley DuBose (optional, $25 per person)

Youth Engagement Forum Scholarships:

Breaking Free has allotted a limited number of scholarships for Youth Engagement Forum attendance. (Please note that these scholarships are for the Youth Engagement Forum exclusively, not the Demand Change Project.) Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria: financial need, personal narrative, and the potential to use the material gathered in the forum to engage students’ communities.

Download the Scholarship Application Form and return it to Breaking Free by May 1, 2015 at 5pm.
