Peter J. Hengel Thai Scholarship Program

We communicated some time ago regarding the very generous Peter J. Hengel Thai Scholarship Program. The 2017 program has just opened for the 2017-18 academic year and I was hoping you would assist in getting the word out that this program is open and accepting applications. The eligibility requirements are:

Males of Thai descent, age 23 or younger

High school seniors or current postsecondary undergraduates who are

Planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in Minnesota.

The program guidelines and application can be found at the following website:

http://sms.scholarshipamerica.org/hengel

When the link is clicked on, the applicant will see the program Guidelines, a form which explains how to complete the financial data section of the application and the application itself. The application postmark deadline is October 15, 2016 and is fast approaching. We ask that each applicant fill out the application completely and send an applicant appraisal, a transcript of grades from the past four years and pages 1 and 2 of parent or applicant tax return along with the application itself to the address listed on page 3 of the application

This very generous scholarship is intended to provide for 100% of the cost of tuition, fees, books and supplies. The scholarship is renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, as long as the recipient maintains full-time enrollment and satisfactory academic performance. Courses of study that take longer than four years may extend renewal eligibility if funding is available. Awards are for undergraduate study at a college or university preferably in Minnesota.

I thank you so much for assisting me in getting the word out regarding this very generous scholarship opportunity for male students of Thai decent.

Best Regards,

Kandy
