High school is filled with some of life’s greatest moments, but also can be very stressful.
You get to attend prom but, then again, there are college applications. Graduation is near but, unfortunately, you also had to take your SATs and ACTs.

Provided by Google, Inc., the Doodle 4 Google Contest is open to students in grades K through 12 who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
To be considered, you must design and submit a Google doodle logo based around the theme “If I Could Invent One Thing to Make the World a Better Place…” and submit a supporting statement of 50 words or less.

To enter, you must create a one to two minute video showing engineering contributions that serve human welfare and the needs of society occurring anywhere during the time period from 1964 to 2064.

Google Global Science Fair 2014

Provided by Google Inc., the Google Global Science Fair 2014 is open to students between the ages of 13 and 18.
You, or your team of two or three, must create either a two-minute video or 20-slide presentation giving an overview of your project and embed it on the Summary page of your project submission.
You may submit projects in any one of the following categories: Computer Science Math, Earth Environmental Sciences, Behavioral Social Sciences, Flora Fauna, Energy Space, Inventions Innovation, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Food Science or Electricity Electronics.
A video or presentation is required to enter.

Run a financial education workshop for your friends and you’ll be entered to win a $7,500 scholarship.
3/4 of teens don’t know enough about personal finances. Arm your friends with mad money skills by running a workshop to teach them.

Fight Hunger in Your Community Scholarship

49 million people lived in households without enough food to eat in 2012. When they turn to food banks for assistance, peanut butter is one of the most requested items.
DoSomething.org is offering $7,500 scholarship to a student that collects food for their local community.
To qualify for the $7,500 scholarship, collect 10 jars of peanut butter, jam or any other non-perishable and submit a photo of them to www.dosomething.org/pbj.
For every ten items donated, you are entered into the lottery once, no limit on the number of entries you can earn.

Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest

The Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest is open to 12th grade, undergraduate and graduate students. To be eligible for this contest, you must write an essay of no fewer than 800 and no more than 1,600 words in length, double-spaced, on one of three topics related to Ayn Rand’s novel, “Atlas Shrugged.”
Essays are judged on both style and content.
The winning essay must demonstrate an outstanding knowledge of the book “Atlas Shrugged.”

American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest

Amount: $18,000
Ages: High School Freshman through High School Senior
The National High School Oratorical Contest is open to junior high and high school students who are under the age of 20 and citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States.
You must prepare an oration on some aspect of the U.S. Constitution, with some emphasis on the duties and obligations of citizens to our government.
A complete list of topics are available on the Legion’s Web site. Each individual state winner certified into and participating in the first round of the national contest receives an additional $1,500 scholarship.

Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship

Ages: Ages 15 and Older
The Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship is open to students who are at least 15 years of age who are studying at an accredited dance school, studio, university or other institution.
You must be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate talent, technical skill and dance expression to be considered for this award.
You must be nominated by your school in order to qualify for this award.
