Women Entrepreneurship Program – WoWenture

WoWoman launced women entrepreneurship program – WoWenture

WoWoman is a women empowerment platform, which creates the space and tools for woman to be able to follow the coolest, craziest and the most “impossible” dreams she has, live up to her full potential and Enjoy the process itself. Wowoman activities include professional trainings/seminars/master classes, events for personal, spiritual and physical rest conducted by the leading specialists, management of online platform (www.wowoman.org) for self-expression and education of ladies. We have being successfully organized our special projects, such as “Tech-Tech Xanim”, “My WOWOMAN Book”, “#qorxmasaydim”.

The term startup refers to realizing innovative business ideas and essentially contributes to the progress of the economy. Certainly, most of us have business idea, but can’t follow this idea due to the lack of knowledge on how to create and manage startups.

Taking this into account, WOWOMAN has launched “WoWenture” Entrepreneurship Program for women. Under the slogan “Turn your idea into business” the program works to help women bring their desired business ideas into life.

The program consists of 7 subsequent but independent modules, each of which is a set of essential skills required for starting and sustaining business. The modules include:

Global Peter Drucker Essay Competition

Description

The Global Peter Drucker Challenge organized by the Peter Drucker Society Europe and aims at raising awareness of the works and humanistic values of Peter Drucker among young people – the new generation poised to build on a management philosophy that puts the human being at its center. The competition is designed to complement and enrich the interdisciplinary exchange of views and ideas at the Global Peter Drucker Forum.

Peter Drucker Challenge invite you to submit an essay covering the topic “The New Entrepreneurs – Movers and Shakers in Economy and Society?

Essay submissions will be evaluated according to:
  • The way you describe your personal insights based on;
  • Peter Drucker’s essay “Managing Oneself”;
  • The way you are translating Peter Drucker’s people-centered management philosophy in our times as a basis for further reflections;
  • The way you connect the past and the future from your own cultural point of view;
  • Relevance and originality, your personal style;
  • Original concept, specifically produced by you for the purpose of this contest;
  • Ability to express your thoughts in fluent English;
  • Form: 1500 to 3000 words.

The GPCF is an annual conference aimed at advancing the development of management thinking and practice in order to respond to the changing requirements in our societies. The 8th Global Peter Drucker Forum  will take place in Vienna, Austria, on 17 and 18 November 2016. This year’s topic is “The Entrepreneurial Society“.

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and no more than 35 years old at the time of essay submission;
  • You must be a student (Undergraduate, graduate level, MBA, PhD);
  • You must be a professional (manager or entrepreneur) or in transition to a professional career;
  • You have not been selected (or only once since 2010) among the top 10 finalists.

GYLTLC aims to bring student leaders worldwide, through engaging activities, to enhance their abilities in cross-cultural interaction and cooperation, which will further equip them to be effective leaders. In addition, participants will be able to understand more about Singapore – a multiracial, multilingual and multicultural society from various perspectives. Nevertheless, what they will learn here may not only be unique to Singapore, but also applicable to their home countries as well as the increasingly interconnected and interdependent world.

GYLTLC is an annual gathering for student leaders from Top Universities around the world. The said camp provides our participants an exceptional opportunity:

  • To Network with student leaders from Top Universities
  • To Learn about the Key Success which shaped one of Asia’s most progressive nations, Singapore – a multiracial, multilingual & multicultural society – from various perspectives

VGIK International Summer School for Filmmakers in Russia

Description

Russian State University of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov is calling international students to take part in the 8th VGIK International Summer School. The program of the VGIK International Summer School consists of two sections:

  • Documentary section takes place in Petrozavodsk, an old Russian city, well-known for its history, architecture, sceneries, and its cultural heritage;
  • Animation section will be held at VGIK Animation & Multimedia Department film studios in Moscow.

Note: duration period of animation section is shorter.

At the VGIK International Summer School you get engaged in various shooting-oriented workshops, tutorials, and trainings carried out by widely recognized European and Russian filmmakers.

The aim of the school is:

  • To gain extra knowledge and acquire practical training in the field of cinematography;
  • To establish academic and creative connections among the students of film schools from all over the world;
  • To exchange knowledge and experience in the field of film education.

Eligibility

If you are a student of Film Direction, Cinematography, Animation & Multimedia, or Computer Graphics Department, you are welcome to apply for the VGIK International Summer School.

Costs

The organizers will provide accommodations, meals and local transportation, as well as the necessary equipment during filming sessions for selected participants.

The VGIK International Summer School will not cover your travel expenses: air tickets, Russian visa, and medical insurance. The Russian visa may be issued only by the Russian consulate in your city or country. Please, take this information into consideration before applying.

Working with Taiwan international enterprises, IIMBA is recruiting talented international youths from emerging and developed countries to Taiwan for a short-term study and potential internship opportunities.

Program Sessions
There are three sessions this year:
Session 1 : 2-week program in May-June followed by the internship
Session 2 : 4-week program in July-August followed by the internship
Session 3 : 2-week program in September-October followed by the internship 

*Courses are designed by the companies and the duration may vary
*Internship period, depending on supporting firms, will approximately
last for 
two months.

Program Expense
During the period, the costs of accommodation, tuition and field trips will be covered. Selected participants are responsible for travel expense (including airfares and visa fee), insurance premium and living expense. During the internship period (for students who are offered internships), the participated companies will be responsible for the accommodation and living expense, or alternatively the companies may pay for the airfares for compensation. Depending on the internship or job offer contract, the expenses may vary.
*If the company chooses to pay for the airfares, it will have to be the run trip tickets of the shortest route from student’s most recent location to Taiwan, and the receipt should be presented.

Student Journalism Training Opportunity from AAJA

VOICES Program Trains Student Journalists

Dear Professors, Faculty and Friends,

The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) is accepting applications for the 2016 VOICES program, open to current college students, graduate students and recent grads.

The program will take place August 8 – 13 during the week of the 2016 AAJA National Convention in Las Vegas. VOICES is a multimedia journalism training fellowship for college and graduate students, where they will be mentored by professional journalists and be expected to produce and complete news assignments at the 2016 convention. Transportation, convention registration and hotel expenses will be covered for the students selected.

The City of Los Angeles Human Relations Commission (City HRC), a neutral city department that mandates inter-group relations and impacts policy, is honored and pleased to announce the 2016-2017 open enrollment period has begun for our very popular, City of Los Angeles Youth Ambassador Cohort program.

The Youth Ambassador Cohort (Y.A.) program is an exciting opportunity for Los Angeles high school student’s 9th-11th grade from all socio-economic backgrounds and sectors of Los Angeles, to build leadership skills and get involved in public policy and civic engagement. The program has (12) workshops that occur on one Saturday per month and requires a one-year commitment. It uses the City of Los Angeles’ government landscape, including City Hall, Council Chambers, City Departments and their resources in a live classroom setting and culminates with an Inaugural experiential five-day trip to Washington D.C., where YA Cohort members tour the White House, meet with White House cabinet members, members of the U.S. Congress and tour the national monuments.

The objective is to equip each Youth Ambassador with a diverse cross-cultural experience and a global perspective and expertise on education, civic-engagement, leadership and volunteerism.
