Over 350 young leaders from 42 countries meet in Poland to come up with new ideas for the future of Europe. During mutual discussions and workshops new ideas are developed, new inspirations are created and new decisions on taking mutual actions are made. They are meant to generate a change in the future. It is here that future elites acquire their knowledge. The programme will focus on the following thematic areas: global security, Europe’s future and architecture,economic growth, youth entrepreneurship, business management, leadership and the role of young generation in the contemporary world. Economic Forum of Young Leaders is the biggest international social and economic meetingof leaders of young generation in the EU and for 9 years now it has stirred enormous interest.
Eligibility
The minimum criterion is knowledge of English at communicative level and engagement in a political, civic, social or economic NGO or institution/organisation. If candidate meets these standards they assess his/her: experience in work in civic NGOs, political and economic areas and current involvement, additional experience gained in different seminars and courses etc.
Costs
The fee for participation bear only those participants who underwent a successful recruitment process. All participants qualified for travel, board and accommodation costs coverage will be requested for paying participation fee in amount of 40 EUR. Participation fee for participants not qualified for travel, board and accommodation costs coverage is 200 EUR. Due to financial limits, reimbursement of travel costs will be possible only for some participants.

We have the pleasure to announce that the 6th Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations will take place in Bali, Indonesia, on 29 and 30 August 2014. The theme of the Forum will be “Unity in Diversity: Celebrating Diversity for Common and Shared Values”.
This Forum will bring together participants including youth, political and corporate leaders, civil society activists, representatives of faith communities, journalists, etc. to work together and agree on joint actions to improve relations across cultures and religions and build a lasting peace.
A total of 100 youth from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds and with outstanding track records in intercultural dialogue and youth work will be selected as participants of the Youth Event which will take place on 28 August 2014. A total of 40 places will be allocated to international participants and 60 places will be allocated to Indonesian participants.
The topic of the Youth Event will focus on “The Role of Youth in Promoting “Unity in Diversity” through Education, Media, and Migration”. Participants selected for the Youth Event will join other participants to the 6th UNAOC Forum on 29 and 30 August 2014.
The Youth Event will be output-oriented and will focus on collective reflectionrather than on presentations of individual projects implemented by youth organizations at the event. In addition, it will help youth establish contacts, actively exchange and explore how they can collaborate together, before and after the Forum. Youth will be invited to multiply the results of the Youth Event and the Forum after they return home. The tentative program of the Youth Event and the 6th UNAOC Forum will be available on-line in July 2014.
The Indonesian government is offering some support for the 100 youth representatives wishing to attend the UNAOC Forum in Bali.
Eligibility
For these 100 places at the Youth Event, eligibility criteria are as follows:
• Age: applicants are between the ages of 18 years old and 30 years old at the time of the Youth Event.
• Organization: applicants are members of non-government and non-for-profit youth-led organizations (organizations led by youth for the benefit of youth), or have experience in youth activities. Mandate of the youth organization or youth activities is related to the UNAOC’s objectives.

New Economic School – Georgia stands for Individual Liberty, Personal Dignity and Private Property since 2001. New Economic School – Georgia organises 8th International Summer Camp “Lessons of Liberty” and it will take place at Hotel “Prima”, Ureki, Guria, Black Sea Resort in Georgia on 21 and 27 August 2014. • The goal of the project is threefold: first, to identify theoretical role of an entrepreneur – lectures, second, to determine the influence of religion, history, culture, tradition, values on the image of an entrepreneur in countries of participants – working groups and debates, third, to design publicity campaign for facilitation of the spirit of entrepreneurship and image of entrepreneur as that of a creator and innovator among youth – group works;

State Ambassadors are a select team of Minnesota 4-H youth that have demonstrated leadership in their local 4-H programs, and who are interested in developing and refining skills to teach other 4-H youth about leadership and citizenship topics.
Eligibility
Applications open in April for State Ambassadors to serve throughout the following academic year. Applicants must be currently involved in Minnesota 4-H and its programs at the time of application, and must have completed at least the tenth grade as of July 1, 2014, and have at least one year of 4-H eligibility remaining in the 2014-15 academic year.
Expectations and responsibilities
The State Ambassador program is a time-intensive program and requires full participation in all required event activities in order to adequately prepare for their role. Key expectations include:
To uphold and abide by the Minnesota 4-H Code of Conduct throughout the duration of their appointment as a State Ambassador, beginning on the first day of Orientation on July 27, 2014, and concluding on the final day of 4-H YELLO! on June 14, 2015;
To participate in 100% of all required State Ambassador events (see schedule in the application packet below);
To be a positive role model to and representative of all youth involved in Minnesota 4-H;
To actively promote inclusion and respect for diversity within 4-H programs;
To be responsible for providing or arranging transportation to all activities/events;
To be prompt in response to emails and/or phone calls from advisors
To be willing to engage in a youth-adult partnership model of leadership
Ideal skills of applicants
The Minnesota 4-H State Ambassador program is a youth development program that strives to exemplify the ultimate in youth citizenship & leadership in Minnesota. Those interested in applying should:
Be interested in developing and/or enhancing skills related to leadership, such as conflict resolution, facilitation, teamwork, decision-making, respect, and communication;
Be able to accept and incorporate constructive criticism to enhance skills;
Be willing to explore and apply diverse concepts of citizenship; and
Have basic skills in teaching others, facilitating discussions, and public speaking
2014-15 State Ambassador application process
Youth interested in applying to the 2014-15 State Ambassador program should complete the following steps:
Ask a local 4-H staff person, preferably your Program Coordinator/Director unless special circumstances exist (ex: staff person is a family member, position is currently vacant, etc) to complete an online recommendation form on your behalf no later than June 18, 2014.
Semi-finalists will be contacted by a member of the selection committee to set up an in-person interview in their region. All interviews will be held June 24 & 25* in a location to be determined, but likely at the 4-H Regional Center central to all applicants in that region. Semi-finalists will be expected to:
Participate in a 15-20 minute interview with members of the selection committee
Prepare ahead of time, and deliver a 5-7 minute presentation, choosing one of three topics provided.
*If you are unable to participate in an interview during these dates due to other commitments, please explain your situation in the application. The selection team will attempt to make accommodations when possible.
Criteria for selection
The Extension Center for Youth Development is committed to ensuring that the Ambassador Program is representative of the diversity of Minnesota, is represented by youth who are exceptional in their leadership/service to their communities, and can professionally represent the entire Minnesota 4-H Youth Development Program. Additionally, applicants will be scored on the following: application and written questions, interview, prepared presentation, recommendation from 4-H staff.
